Letter from the Editor
First, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Dr. Deirdre Logan for her outstanding leadership of the journal. She has done a truly wonderful job, and as a PPL team, we very much hope to build on and continue her excellent work.
I would also like to warmly invite submissions of commentaries. The journal remains an important space for thoughtful, accessible reflections on research, practice, and emerging issues in pediatric pain. I encourage contributions from across the community, and we are especially keen to hear a wide range of voices.
We are currently updating our submission process to introduce a new online system, which we hope will be in place in time for the October 2026 issue. As part of this, we will also introduce guidance on the use of artificial intelligence in commentary preparation, reflecting some of the evolving changes we are seeing in the publishing landscape.
Finally, I am very pleased to introduce Dr. Alex Neville (Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada) as our new Associate Editor. Alex brings valuable expertise and insight, and I am looking forward to working together to support the continued development of the journal.
Thank you, as always, for your support of the Pediatric Pain Letter. As ever, if you have any PPL focused questions or want to ask about a potential submission, please do email me at a.l.jordan@bath.ac.uk.
With best wishes,
Abbie Jordan
